The WKA is a non-commercial organisation conceptualised and developed by professionals with proven credentials in education through distance learning. It is delivered through an interactive electronic platform to enable an evidence-based, cost-effective approach to managing patients with kidney disease and those who received organ transplantation.

Programmes

Clinical Hypertension Fellowship

This program, a unique, flagship program. It is structured as 3 modules, 14 weeks each. The program is accredited by the American Association of CME for 80 credit hours. We are very pleased that you have chosen to start the next stage of your continuing professional development with the World Kidney Academy. 

Critical Care Nephrology Fellowship

This program, a unique, flagship program, is offered wholly online. It is structured as 3 modules, 16 weeks each, including virtual workshops. The program is accredited by the American Association of Continuing Medical Education.

Diploma in Clinical Renal Transplantation

This unique flagship programme as partnership between the General Organisation of Teaching Hospitals and Institutes (GOTHI)  and the World Kidney Academy. It is offered online (PART 1) with clinical training for 12 months in one of the reputable transplant centres (PART 2).

CKD

CKD-MBD Graduate Certificate Program

This is a unique flagship program offered wholly online. It is structured as 2 modules, 20-credit each. Management of CKD-MBD is not uniform among nephrologists and needs specific training to prevent bone loss and improve cardiovascular health.

Fellowship in Clinical Transplantation

This fellowship programme, clinically oriented, is offered wholly online. It is structured as six 20-credit modules (Masters level/level 7) that can be taken either as standalone modules or as an award – Postgraduate Certificate/Fellowship in Clinical Transplantation.

Glomerulonephritis Fellowship

Welcome to the GN Fellowship. This program, a unique, flagship program, is offered wholly online. It is structured as 3 modules, 20-credit each.

Fellowship In Clinical Research

Most of the published articles could not lend themselves to evidence-based evidence. They are full of flaws, have a poor sample size, have poorly designed methodology and may contain bias.

This workshop programme, a unique flagship programme, is offered wholly online. It is structured as one 20-credit module (Master’s level/level 7) delivered by experts in deceased donor transplantation, an emerging form of transplantation in your country that poses a clinical challenge to the healthcare system.

Fellowship in Renal Replacement Therapy (RRT); From Basic Techniques to Patients’ Outcomes

The Fellowship in RRT aims to equip healthcare workers to explain the basics of science and techniques to their patients to enable them to participate in decision-making to improve long-term outcomes. The fellowship is delivered in the form of 3 wholly online interactive modules.

AHP

Fellowship in Clinical Nephrology, Dialysis and Transplantation for Allied Healthcare Professionals

This programme is designed for Allied Healthcare Professionals (renal nurses, nurse practitioners, dialysis technicians, renal pharmacists, nutrition specialities and transplant coordinators, and any other related specialities) to get an up-to-date clinical experience in renal medicine and transplantation and to help them to progress in their future careers.

WKA Library

The World Kidney Academy offers an array of educational resources on topics related to kidney health, focusing heavily on advanced and practical knowledge in kidney transplantation and associated procedures. This library will show you glimpse of the topics available through the courses, cover a range of sophisticated topics such as donor-specific antibody (DSA) monitoring, crossmatch techniques in transplantation, and the management of transplant complications like BK virus infections and pneumocystis pneumonia.
