Welcome to the Clinical Hypertension Fellowship

This program, a unique, flagship program, is offered wholly online. It is structured as 3 modules, 14 weeks each. The program is accredited by the American Association of CME for 80 credit hours.

We are very pleased that you have chosen to start the next stage of your continuing professional development with the World Kidney Academy. We are deeply invested in improving our resources for all our learners and recruit appropriately qualified national and international clinicians to inform and deliver our curriculum, thus ensuring that all we deliver is current and informed by best research evidence.

We aim to give you a valuable and satisfying learning experience. To achieve this successfully, our experience is a collaborative learning partnership between us as facilitators and you the learners. This wholly online program will establish your peer support/learning via the online discussion group and journal club. You will learn things from us as well as from each other. Most importantly, you will also acquire information, based on your individual learning needs.

The Fellowship Program is delivered by Hypertension experts from various reputable national and international Clinical Nephrology, Hypertension, Endocrinology and Cardiology programs to enhance the exposure of the fellows to diverse clinical experience and practice. The education is delivered in the form of online lectures, case-based discussions, critical appraisal of scientific papers, problem-solving exercises, and live webinars.

Clinical scenarios and real-life practical experience are discussed online (asynchronous) by experts in the field. The lectures are delivered in an asynchronous approach to overcome the challenges posed by time zone difference and maximize mutual and reciprocal engagement. An optional live webinar /tele-education is introduced in each module synchronously to enhance the learning experience and to encourage engagement of the students. These synchronous interactive sessions will be recorded and posted for all our fellows.
