how the change in nomenclature from carinii to jeroveci came into literature ?
I understand that carinii is seen in rats only
what was the clinical need to change the name ?
Thank you Professor for an excellent talk. I have had one case of suspected PJP on septrin prophylaxis and the BAL was negative and we still treated for 21 days and the patient improved. So for secondary prophylaxis, should we still use septrin or dapson?
Thank you, sir, for the great talk. The risks associated with using immunosuppressives without PJP prophylaxis is really significant. I had not thought that such immunosuppression, which we use so often, could result in this kind of serious infection.
Thank you, Prof Gamal, for such an elaborated lecture.
I was wondering about sensitivity and specificity of blood pcr for pneumocystis jerovici as sputum are hard to get due to nonproductive nature even after inducing.
interesting lecture
as mentioned in this lecture everolimus-based IS one risk factor for PJP, by which mechanism? and how we can differentiate it from everolimus-induced pneumonitis?
Great presentation. Thank you.
Thank You
